2014 TBLMA Community Day and Call for 2015 Projects

A busy-bee was held at the Qualen Reserve Saturday 6th September 2014. The purpose was to clean up the Reserve of rubbish and to discuss further work to be undertaken at the Reserve.
A big THANK YOU goes to the ten willing volunteers who assisted during the morning collecting the many cans, bottles and larger rubbish including a fridge, two tractor tyres, wire, sheep tags and even a bathroom renovation that had been dumped at the Reserve. Unfortunately it was wet and hence the camera lens had a rain drop on it but the extent of the rubbish piled at the main gate can be seen below.

We were able to observe that the trees planted in 2013 had suffered no ill effects from the long dry summer and are thriving in the rehabilitated section of the old gravel pit.
A lovely variety of wildflowers have blossomed and were a delight to behold.

CALL FOR 2015 PROJECTS
Anyone wishing to propose a project for 2015 and needs funding then we can assist.  To do so a form must be completed to assist in the preparation of the application for funding to purchase plants and cover costs for community projects in 2015.  Please find a copy of the form here and this needs to be emailed to the Secretary Geoff Williams at geoffwilliamsau@yahoo.com
